Educational Praxis, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization in Brattleboro, Vermont. Dr. Janaki Natarajan founded Educational Praxis in 1998. Dr. Natarajan is an educator/activist who has taught in Tanzania, China, South India, Washington D.C., and currently directs the Spark Teacher Education Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont . The organization is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of teachers, musicians, practitioners in computer science education and health workers. The mission of Educational Praxis is to bring people of diverse communities together for direct educational activities and to develop solidarity with learning-teaching centers around the world. The educational activities promote critical reflection, economic equity and security, ecological consciousness, cultural groundings and creative action for the purpose of addressing the schisms of class, race, caste and gender.

Educational Praxis recognizes that inequalities exist in Southern Vermont and elsewhere in the world; therefore, we offer programs at the local and international level. Praxis organizes the Spark Teacher Education Institute, Indigo Institute, Brattleboro Solidarity, Praxis Educational Theater, Sojourns, Indigo Radio, and the Bapagrama Educational Center in Bangalore, South India.
